Description of the activity.

The subject matter of the activities during the meeting in Italy is the cultural heritage connected with Dance. Participants will get to know the traditional Italian dances and their evolution over the years. Workshops prepared for the participants refer to the group dancing and Individual dancing. Students will also have the opportunity to learn a new fashionable phenomenon called “flash mob” which is a dance display in a public place by gathered number of people who do not know one another.
All the planned activities will include group work, cooperative learning, workshop activities, tutorials, peer to peer education, learning to learn, inclusive education. Students will learn not only from the teachers but also from their peers. They will get to know new techniques of learning by oneself, they will have a chance for global learning. Dancing activities overcome cultural and language barriers. Social, educational and physical differences disappear. Students take part in an inclusive education.
The expected results will be socialization through the contacts with other students from different countries and cultures. Students will practice their physical coordination during participation in the dancing activities. Another expected result will be making new transnational friendships. Students’ self-esteem will increase as a result of the work on their own body. Students will get rid of the shame and stage fright connected with the performance in front of the audience. The international group will be included in the regular morning and afternoon activities of the hosting school.
They will experience the methodology used in the Italian school.
